Kevin Redmon, a native Georgian, has lived in Cobb County since 2005 with his wife of 24 years and their 13-year-old daughter.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. There, he served as a Freshman Senator and Sophomore Class President, and managed the campus radio station, WJTL, for three years.
After graduation, he spent 13 years managing a small business in the event industry, focusing on community outreach and coordinating with municipal resources. He also served on the Mayor’s Office of Special Events Board for the City of Atlanta.
Since then, Kevin has worked in IT as a Client Executive for over 15 years, delivering value to Fortune 50 clients, managing innovation strategy, negotiating contracts, and building executive relationships. He now works at Grafana Labs, covering major corporations across the Southeast and the US.
Before joining Grafana, he spent four years at Splunk covering the global PwC account. Prior to Splunk, he managed the technology portfolio and innovation strategy for major IBM clients, including JPMorgan Chase & Co., Anthem, Cigna, CVS Health, Fidelity Investments, General Electric, and Liberty Mutual. After returning to IBM, he received the "Best of IBM" award within 18 months, an honor given to just 500 of more than 400,000 employees.
A highlight of Kevin’s public service is his volunteer work serving as Cabinet Lead on the Cobb County District 2 Community Cabinet for Commissioner Richardson. In this role, he supported Cabinet members in delivering strategic initiatives that benefit all stakeholders. Earlier, as East Cobb Liaison, he handled communications between the Office and residents, civic groups, HOAs, and businesses, and led creative outreach, including videos and events.
Over 120 Cobb County employees and residents came out to hear about today’s cybersecurity threats and how to protect themselves. We had amazing speakers from the Sheriff’s Office, the District Attorney’s Office, Homeland Security, the GTA, Splunk and Cisco.
Commissioner Jerica Richardson and I ask for tips here from Cobb County's IT Services Department and the Cobb County Sheriff's Office on how to keep our data safe.
